GREENLIGHT TEAMS WITH ITA FOR COUNTY ROADS - SERIES 2

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (April 9, 2009) – GreenLight was first contacted by Indiana Troopers Association Executive Director Ernie Alder back in August of 2007 regarding the 2008 75th Anniversary limited edition Indiana State Police car.  To commemorate the Indiana State Police’s (ISP) 75th Anniversary, the ‘08 Ford Crown Victoria’s that were driven throughout the year by ISP officers were decorated in a throwback design that paid tribute to the original 1933 Chevrolet Police car – a black car with a yellow stripe.   At the point of initial contact from Mr. Alder, the 1:64 GreenLight Crown Victoria casting was still in development, but over time GreenLight stayed in contact and finally the commemorative Police car has come to life in GreenLight SE County Roads Series 2.

County Roads was introduced in November 2008 as 6-car set under the umbrella of GreenLight SE (Special Edition).  Throughout 2009 GreenLight SE will have numerous collector oriented releases that include a police car line entitled “Hot Pursuit”, a pony car line entitled “Cruise-In Mustangs”, County Roads Series 3 and a throwback line entitled “Remember When”.  County Roads Series 2 includes a ‘62 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, ‘66 Dodge D-100 Truck (with tool box), ‘77 Dodge Ramcharger Truck, ‘88 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350, ‘06 Ford Mustang GT Convertible and the ‘08 Ford Crown Victoria 75th Anniversary Indiana State Police car.

Each car in County Roads Series 2 is produced in a clamshell package, featuring 100% die-cast metal body and chassis, real rubber tires, detailed body decoration, painted engine and custom license plate.  All cars are officially licensed by Ford, Chevrolet and Chrysler.

GreenLight SE is available at Toys R Us, Kmart, Meijer and through Hobby Distributors, Wholesalers and Retailers around the globe.  This latest release of SE is available mid-April, 2009.
